Services

Visitors are always welcome at our services. The All Night Vigil is celebrated beginning at 5 pm on Saturday evenings and the Divine Liturgy at 9 am on Sunday mornings. Confessions are heard during the Vigil service. The parish church and school are located at:

English Divine Liturgies are being served at the St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco chapel in Queanbeyan by Priest Seraphim Slade. The Liturgies begin at 9:30 AM, commencing on Sunday 5 February (when there is no service at St John the Baptist church). The chapel is located at:

Services

There will be no services on the weekends of Sunday 29 January and Sunday 5 February.

Church interior

Book Kiosk

St. John the Baptist Parish has a church book kiosk which is open every second Sunday after the Divine Liturgy. The kiosk has a range of books in both Russian and English, as well as icons and other religious items.

Church Hall

The parish hall, opposite the church in Matina St, Narrabundah, is available for hire for social functions and community groups.

Brief Lives of Saints

RSS The St. John the Baptist parish is making available the brief summaries of the Lives of Saints from the weekly bulletins published by the Holy Cross Australian Orthodox Mission NSW. Brief lives of saints are now available for each day of the year. Additional lives are added as they become available.
