Brief Lives of Saints

The summaries of the Lives of Saints made available here are published by Deacon Christopher Henderson <cchrishendo@yahoo.com.au> of the Holy Cross Australian Orthodox Mission NSW. The dates to the left are those on the Ecclesiastical (Old Style) Calendar, which is 13 days behind the civil (Gregorian) or "new style" calendar. Select a month and day to the left to view the brief Lives of Saints. Recent editions of the weekly bulletins from which these texts are taken are being made available on the web by the St. Jonah Orthodox Church.

The text (but not the icons) are also avaiable for Macintosh users via a Dashboard widget. This will provide the names of the saints for the current day (using either the old or new calendar) and those texts for their lives which are available here.
